It’s that time of year again, Warped Tour! As exciting as it might be to catch some of your favorite bands, you should also try to catch some sets of bands that you might not know yet. In this review I’ll talk about some of the best artists on warped tour that you should definitely check out.

Band #1:
Pierce The Veil
Overview: Pierce The Veil are one of the most popular bands currently in the scene. They are supposed to be releasing a brand new album sometime in 2015, and they just wrapped up a world tour with equally popular Post-Hardcore band, Sleeping With Sirens. But right now, they are on The Warped Tour.
Review: PTV are popular for a reason. They have the right mixture of Breakdowns, Singalongs, Melodic Chorus’s, and a very edgy sound which make them appealing to the Warped Tour crowd. Although, I will admit that Vic Fuentes voice was something that made me not enjoy their music at first but it’s now one of the very reasons that I’m suggesting them to you now.
Recommended Song: King For A Day, This song brings everything that PTV has to offer. It also features Sleeping With Sirens vocalist Kellin Quinn which makes the song even more of a must listen.

Memphis-May-Fire
Band #2:
Memphis May Fire
Overview: Memphis May Fire, founded in Dallas, Tx, are on the Main Stage this year at Warped. It’s a symbol of overcoming the odds that were set in front of them to finally reach a huge milestone in their career. They have overcame the departure of several founding band members and a bad situation with Trustkill Records.
Review: MMF have a Metalcore sound to them with a mix of cleans and uncleans by lead vocalist Matty Mullins. MMF has great lyrics that range from faith to overcoming people that want to bring you down to believing in yourself.
Recommended Song: The Sinner. This song is off of their first album with Rise Records, The Hollow. It has the heavy metalcore sound with the breakdowns that MMF brings to the table.

Band #3:
The Amity Affliction
Overview & Review: The Amity Affliction, from Australia, may have been founded in 2003, but have soared in popularity recently with the release of the Chasing Ghosts and Let The Ocean Take Me albums. With a strong Melodic Metalcore sound, and a unique vocalist set up with two vocalists, Ahren Stringer who does clean vocals and bass guitar, and Joel Birch who does unclean vocals. The lyrics in Amity songs tend to be very strong and emotional. With themes ranging from self doubt to depression to suicidal thoughts.
Recommended Song: Pittsburgh. “I’ve been searching for an exit, but i’m lost inside my head, where I spend every waking moment wishing I was dead.” The very opening verse to the song carries the theme of the song throughout. This song is for anyone who has wished they would stop living. Songs like this can really help pull someone out of a deep depression, just to know that there is other people out there that can relate to what you’re feeling inside is always comforting.

Man_Overboard_-_2015_(620-400)
Band #4:
Man Overboard
Overview/Review: Man Overboard is just about as Pop-Punk as possible. They have a shirt that even encourages defending it. In a genre where it’s very common to hear the same sound with different bands, it doesn’t occur with Man Overboard. They have a very original sound with two lead vocalists that both play other instruments, Zac with the rhythm guitar and Nik with the bass guitar. Since being founded in 2008, Man Overboard has become one of the more popular Pop-Punk bands and they are only going to gain popularity this year on Warped Tour, as they are playing the Main Stage all summer long.
Recommended Song: Night Feelings. This song has strong Pop-Punk roots and features a fast paced beat that carries the song throughout. While it isn’t one of they’re most popular songs it really does feature a lot of the elements that Man Overboard uses in all their songs which makes it a perfect listen.

As_It_Is_Press
Band #5: As It Is
Overview/ Review: As It Is, from England, are exploding pretty rapidly. After being fairly unknown besides some loyal followers, They have gained substantial popularity after signing with Fearless Records in October of 2014. Since then they have played a U.S. Tour, Played South By So What?! in Grand Prairie, Texas, and they have released they’re debut Album, Never Happy Ever After. Now they are playing the Journey’s Stage at Warped all summer long. It has definitely been a busy last 10 months for the Brighton, UK band. They bring a very energetic Pop-Punk and Alternative Rock mix to all their songs. It makes for a very upbeat and energetic live experience.
Recommended Song: Dial Tones. This song is the first song I heard by them and made me want more of their content, which led to me buying their debut album. It has a very Melodic beat with some breakdowns that have a very metalcore-ish vibe to it. While I would slap a Pop-Punk label on the song, it’s just about as far from a Pop-Punk song as a Pop-Punk song can get, if that makes sense.
